Questions about a Cat?
If interested in a particular animal, please email
caawsmail@yahoo.com with your questions. Due to the large volume of calls that CAAWS receives on a daily basis and limited volunteer hours available, it is nearly impossible to return all calls. Email is the easiest and quickest way to reach us.

Annie

Are you lonesome tonight?
If you are
then I'm the cat that would love to keep you
company.
My
name is Annie the Love Bug, but you can call me Lil'
Bit since I'm such a small girl.
I was someone's kitty but I grew a
bit and they threw me out, so I found some suckers
to take me in by being cute, purring and rubbing all
over their ankles.
I love to be on or near my foster
parents at all times. Petting and playing are my
favorite activities.
I am a sweet little tabby cat,
less than a year old, with all my vaccinations. I
was sterilized and tested negative for FIV and
FeLV.
I can coexist peacefully with other
cats by running under the bed and hiding until I get
used to them. Just remember to ask for a Lil' Bit of
Love at adoption day! |

Patches
My
name is Patches – can you guess why?
CAAWS thinks
that I was born in June of 2007. They aren’t real
sure because I had been living outside near an
apartment complex.
I am way too young to be a
mother, but I am because no one bothered to get me
spayed. My first litter of kittens was lost when the
trailer I’d put them in was hauled away! Thanks to a
good volunteer, I was able to have my second litter
in a comfortable home.
I am now spayed and
vaccinated, so no more babies for me! I am a laid
back lady and love attention. I will occasionally
climb into your lap but also like my independence at
times. I prefer when the other cats that live at my
foster mom’s keep their distance and don’t try to
play with me.
I would love to be the only cat in my
forever home. |

Charley Brown
Charley
Brown is one lucky kitty. He doesn't know who his real mom is, and
ended up with a surrogate mom at only a week old. His sibling was too
weak and didn't make the trip to his new start of life. The surrogate
mom already had a 2 week old kitten and welcomed Charley Brown as her
own. He was born around June 2009. He was fighting to live the first
3-4 weeks of his life. He kept coming down with colds, not wanting to
eat, or play. Just lay around a lot. Finally the medicine kicked in.
Charley Brown is a very lazy kitty. He doesn't mind being held,
cuddled, scratched and rubbed for as long as you will hold him.
He has not been around dogs or children. However, his
personality would probably let some child push him around in a baby
buggy. That is how calm and relaxed he is. He is neutered, litter
trained, Fiv/FeLV negative.
If interested, contact CAAWS to make arrangements to see CHARLEY BROWN
at the Petsmart on Airline by Toys R Us on Saturdays. He rotates with
other kitties during the month. |
Zeek
Zeek was born around
March 2009 and is brother to Zia. He is a lean boy,
playful, shy at first. He stands in the background
and watches as the other kitties play and then he
slowly walks up and starts playing also. He likes
to play with your feet and lay in the middle of your
stomach.
He is
neutered, litter trained, Fiv/FeLV negative.
If interested, contact CAAWS to make arrangements to
see Zeek at the Petsmart on Airline by Toys R Us on
Saturdays. He rotates with other kitties during the
month. |
Zia
Zia was born around
March 2009. She is sister to Zeek. She is a dainty
beautiful calico girl. People say she looks like an
Egyptian kitty.
Zia
is shy at first, but warms up when she gets to know
you. She loves to play, be petted, sit in your lap
and purr to thank you.
She
is spayed, litter trained, Fiv/FeLV negative.
If interested, contact CAAWS to make arrangements to
see ZIA at the Petsmart on Airline by Toys R Us on
Saturdays. She rotates with other kitties during
the month. |

Tabor
My
name is Tabor and I have been a travelin' cat for my
first four lives. I'd like to spend the remaining
five lives in a nice, comfortable home with a good
family.
I came to CAAWS
several years ago, rescued from an animal hoarder.
The conditions there were so horrible that I still
have scars on my ears where they were chewed on by
rats and who knows what else. I then went to a
foster family who could never bring me to adoption
day, so I never got to show my stuff.
I then went to a
second foster home for a few months and was finally
adopted by an elderly lady. Well, a big boy like me
turned out to be too much for her to take care of.
Now, I'm back at
CAAWS waiting for my PERMANENT home this time. I am
big, sweet, lovable, a little mischievous and a tad
independent. That means I won't be in your face all
of the time and I don't want you in my face all of
the time. I might want to sleep with you sometimes,
and I like sitting beside people when they are
reading or watching TV.
I
like to play with toys occasionally and stalk the
birds through the window. I can get a little rough
when I'm playing, so I'd probably do best without
really young children. I get along pretty well with
both dogs and cats as long as they don't bother me.
I was born
approximately 3/03, have been neutered and am up to
date on all my vaccinations. |

Coup
Patches
is my mom, but I bet you can’t tell because I’m
already as big as she is!
I was born on March 23,
2009 and was the boldest kitten from my litter. I am
very inquisitive and love to investigate.
My
favorite toy is the cool kitty tree house at my
foster mom’s house.
I have no issues with the other
cats at home but I’ve never had the chance to meet a
dog or a child. I bet I could adapt to a new
situation, given the chance, though.
I love to play
and to be petted, but I’m not what you would call a
lap cat. I’m more interested in keeping you
entertained than sleeping on you.

If you include me
in your family, you will never be bored, I promise!

Domino
Domino-Can't
decide between black or white? Why not both? Adopt
me! Me, me, me! I love everyone. I like to play; I
like to sleep; I like to snuggle, and I like to eat.
There really isn't that much I DON'T like. If you
hang around me for a little while you might like me
right back.
I was born
approximately 5/08, I am a HANDSOME boy.
I don't get
much attention at adoption days because I'm not tiny
and bouncy. However, I don't have the needs that
those cute little spitfire kittens have. like the
need to jump on your head at 2 am every morning!
I'll just snuggle up beside you and sleep through
the night. I'm living with about 10 other cats and I
have so much love to share, but I just don't get the
opportunity to share it.
I'm fixed,
vaccinated, and ready to be your new best friend.

Lil Lucy
Lil
Lucy was born around June 2009. Her mom adopted
Charley Brown.
Lil Lucy is a little of both lazy
and playful. She likes to lay around a lot, but
has more spunk than Charley Brown. She likes being
scratched and played with, but is not much into
being held. She will tolerate it for a while but is
usually ready to get down after a minute or two.
She has not been around dogs or
children. She is spayed, litter trained, Fiv/FeLV
negative.
If interested, contact CAAWS to make arrangements to
see LIL LUCY the Petsmart on Airline by Toys R Us on
Saturdays. She rotates with other kitties during
the month. |

Mea and Mya
Mea
and Mya were born around April 2009. They are sisters and were
at the hands of a woman who was going to give them away at a
Wal-Mart, before they were rescued. Mea is black with a small
white dot under her chin. Mya is black and white.
These two girls are angels. They want to be held, petted, and
loved on. They get along with other kitties and small dogs.
They
have not been around children, but the times they have been at
Petsmart, many children have petted and held them. They try to
get as much attention as they can by pawing at customers and
begging for attention........by rubbing on the cage when
somebody walks up.
Please
do not rule Mea and Mya out just because of their color. They
have a great personality and would make good companions for
someone who wants lap kitties.
They are spayed, litter trained, Fiv/FeLV negative.
If interested, contact CAAWS to make arrangements to see them at
the Petsmart on Airline by Toys R Us on Saturdays. They rotate
with other kitties during the month.
